Garuda Templeis one of the many graceful temples of Kerala but the only one dedicated to the Hindu deity Garuda (Hindi synonym for eagle, the carrier of one of the three prominent Gods of Hinduism, Lord Vishnu.
The image of Garuda deity installed in the temple is around six feet high. The temple also accommodates a rare shrine in which Vishnu is worshipped in his Koorma (tortoise) avatar poisture. The temple set in picturesque surroundings. Further ornated by golden snakes around it, the temple presents an impressive sight for the tourists and the devotees alike.
The temple is located at Chamravattom road of Taripangode, on the boundary of the Thirumala Devaswom Temple in Cochin.
